About Us
We serve six counties in the Pee Dee: Florence, Georgetown, Horry, Marion, Williamsburg, and Darlington. Here's what that looks like.
Cathy's Closet is our year-round program. We hand out clothes, jackets, canned food, cleaning supplies, and personal care items. It's free and open to everybody. No application. No proof of income. No screening. If somebody shows up, they get help.
We point people toward mental health services in their own county and help them figure out where to start. Getting help for your mind should be as normal as getting groceries, and we talk about it that way.
We give scholarships to students studying behavioral health. The Cathy Lance-Timmons Scholarship supports high school seniors heading to a four-year college. The 311 Scholarship supports college students already in the field.
How We Decide Things
Every call the board makes comes down to one question: What Would Cathy Do? She believed every single person deserved respect, compassion, and hope. That's how we write our rules, how we greet somebody at the door, and how we spend a donor's money.
About the Foundation
The late Cathy Lance-Timmons was patient, professional, and certain that every person deserved to be treated with dignity. She spent her career standing up for people getting mental health care and speaking for the ones who could not speak for themselves.
We carry that forward through community programs, mental health resources, scholarships, and partnerships across the Pee Dee.

Our Leadership
Board Chair & President
Daughter of Cathy Lance-Timmons, Tatyana holds a Master of Social Work (MSW) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA), and is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) and Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSWA). She founded The Cathy Lance-Timmons Foundation as a way to give back to the community her mother advocated for and loved so deeply, keeping her legacy alive and continuing to encourage others in positive, meaningful ways. Her hope is that the foundation will reach communities everywhere, offering support through its community impact and education initiatives.
